Jan Kölmel
Jan Kölmel’s passion for classic cars goes back to his first car at the age of 16. This led to a quest for knowledge about cars and resulted in many years of acquiring and restoring numerous cars

Jan has been the owner of a multi-million dollar Hi-Tech manufacturing and distribution company for the past 20 years with offices in Canada and Germany as well as manufacturing facilities in China.
Trilingual entrepreneur with extensive experience in business management and development specialty in sales, marketing and growth–oriented diversification
Previously - At BMW in Munich Germany (FIZ Building) as a Graphic Artist and Industrial Designer in BMW Design Department
Previously - Owner of small Customized Porsche Import Company (from Germany to Canada)
Currently on board of Directors for numerous organizations and companies including Cohort Solutions Canada.
Over 35 years of restoring his own cars, Jan has built an extensive hands-on knowledge of restoration work and he has developed a network of contacts, suppliers, trades and shops necessary for show quality builds. He has gone as far as doing his own body work including paint, all mechanical work including full engine rebuilds, and of course, full assembly.
This is invaluable experience in understanding the challenges of classic car restoration and the respective costs. Although all restorations were done for personal passion and collectability reasons, a focus on ROI was always an important motive for his personal collection.
